District 127 is located in Grayslake, Illinois. The award-winning district serves approximately 3000 students in grades 9-12 in two high schools with more than 300 certified and educational support staff members. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the development, implementation, and communication of a shared vision of learning that reflects excellence and equity for all students • Facilitate the development, implementation and communication of organizational, instructional, and assessment strategies to maximize achievement of all students • Facilitate the development, implementation and communication of high quality professional development programs, planning and services • Supervise and implement quality personnel practices and services, including: recruitment, selection, training and retaining quality staff; staff certification, recertification services; substitute and student teacher placement services; SB 7-related practices and implementation; and all employee records-keeping services. • Ensure student growth by implementing data-based student performance measurement systems • Create and maintain positive and productive employee relations and services • Supervise marketing plan and media support • Facilitate smooth operation of Board of Education committee meetings Qualifications: • Type 75 Certification • Doctorate preferred • Strong, proven leadership, supervision and administrative skills • Demonstrated success in recruiting, selecting, training and retaining high quality staff • Demonstrated success with contract negotiations and positive employee relations • Demonstrated ability to work with people in a way that facilitates positive growth in both students and staff • Strong, proven communication skills • Strong, proven teacher evaluation skills Salary and Benefits: A regionally competitive salary with excellent employment benefits based on the qualifications and employment history of the candidate.
